MediaTraffic have published their annual music sales charts for 2012, and One Direction appear twice in the TOP FIVE!

Their debut album ‘Up All Night’ is at number 3 on the chart, behind Taylor Swift’s Red in 2nd place and Adele’s 21 in 1st.
‘Take Me Home’ takes the number 5 spot just behind Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born To Die’.
To have one album in the top ten, let alone top five is some achievement, so for One Direction to have BOTH their albums is simply STAGGERING.
That deserves a great big WELL DONE 1D, doesn’t it.
Oooh, we’re proud of our little boys
The full top ten Worldwide Album Chart for 2012 is as follows:
- Adele – 21
- Taylor Swift – Red
- One Direction – Up All Night
- Lana Del Rey – Born To Die
- One Direction – Take Me Home
- Mumford & Sons – Babel
- Pink – The Truth About Love
- Justin Bieber – Believe
- Coldplay – Mylo Xlyoto
- Maroon 5 – Overexposed
In the global singles chart for 2012, 1D are in position 18 with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, a fair way behind Gotye’s huge track ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ in 1st place.
Guess we’ll all have to buy even more copies of the next few 1D singles to try and make a dent on next years chart
2013 is set to be a year packed full of jet-setting for 1D as they embark on a huge global One Direction tour starting in February with 3 dates at The O2 Arena in London, before jetting between the rest of the UK, all over Europe, across to North America before finally finishing in Australia and New Zealand in October.
Phew! That’s some bigass tour!
