One Direction have continued their streak in tearing up the record books by dethroning the reigning video-viewership king, Justin Bieber.

1D’s video for “Live While We’re Young” has become the most viewed single video in 24 hours, knocking off previous record holder “boyfriend”!

Perez Hilton reported that the pair were neck and neck but at the end of the first day, 1D came out the winners with 8.34 million views on their video.

Bieber had to settle for just over 8 on his first day of release. Loser!

Now, Justin’s video has 155 million views, but that video was released in May. We are sure the LWWYvid will soon become VEVO certified because it ‘s bound to accrue over 100 million views.

What’s more, the previous record holder, Rihanna, was blown out of the water completely with her 4 million views for video “Where Have You Been” paling in comparison.

Despite releasing the video early because of a leak online, 1D have still come up trumps.

The single has also rocketed to the top of the charts around the world and can be bought as a single song or in EP form, where live versions of “Up All Night” tracks are included and club remixes of LWWY also get some love.

The physical download, less popular these days, will also be available in select markets.

Keep watching the video directioners and get those view numbers up and up!
