Make sure you tune into Channel 4 this friday night in order to catch an appearance by One Direction on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
Liam, Harry and the rest will be exclusively appearing in their very first TV interview since last year’s X Factor competition, and the wise-cracking Carr is certain to grill each and every one of them.
Expect to hear Zayn talk about his relationship with Rebecca Ferguson, Harry on his famous “word-in-the-ear” to Matt Cardle, and hopefully a whole lot more questions that we all want to know.
Will they be performing their new single? We don’t know, but we sure hope so.
As well as the 1D boys, Stephen Merchant, Bradley Cooper and Will Young also make an appearance.

Will the new album give us any surprises?
Louis: I think it will shock you. It’s not the typical boy-band sound. It’s edgier than that. Zayn: We’ve got a sound, One Direction’s own sound.
Own up, have you been misbehaving since we last saw you?
Harry: No, we’re good boys! Niall: In the evenings, the giddiness kicks in. It’s kind of like we go mad. We were sitting in the studio yesterday all trying to make each other laugh, and Zayn was making faces behing the producer’s back. It was just pure childishness!
We hear you all went skinny-dipping – explain yourselves!
Niall: We were doing a photo shoot and it was kind of boring, so Harry said we should take off our clothes and run down the beach. We did one lap with no clothes on, then some man with his dog turned up and the dog started sniffing round our clothes.
The boys talk about releasing their debut single very soon, so as we exclusively revealed last week, this is still on track for the beginning of September.
We’re getting so excited at 1D suddenly appearing everywhere that we don’t think we’ll be able to cope when they fly right to the top of the charts and 1D mania is truly upon us!

We actually think this was one of their best performances in the whole of the competition – they harmonized brilliantly without the distraction of a backing track and all the razzmatazz on the live stage.

First it was March, then it slipped to June, now we’re in July and there’s still no sign of the first single from 1D. Come on boys, don’t keep us waiting much longer! Well, hot off the back of Louis’ tweet last week where he said they had just finished shooting their new video, we can reveal that the updated release date will be the first week of September. Finally!
Despite many rumours of an earlier release, it seems that new date is to coincide with both the launch of the US and UK series of The X Factor, both of which start this August/September. Looks like big plans are afoot for worldwide domination of One Direction – and that’s news that we find absolutely brilliant here at OneDirection.net. We’d love nothing better than for Liam, Harry, Zayn, Niall and Louis to be the biggest boyband in the world, and fingers crossed this time next year that could be realised.
Hmm, shall we hibernate until September so we can hear 1D’s first song?
It’s not long now until America gets to feast their eyes on the debut series of X Factor USA this September, and it promises to be a massive hit, just as American Idol was.
In an exclusive scoop , sources close to us have issued strong rumours that One Direction will be performing live on-stage during the Live Finals, in what will surely break the boys into the US market.
With 1D yet to release their first single and album (though a recent tweet by Louis Tomlinson confirmed they had just finished filming the video for their new single), they already have a massive following here in the UK, and their popularity will shortly explode once they are fully unleashed in the next couple of months.
With Cheryl Cole forced out of the US X Factor auditions and her place taken by Nicole Scherzinger, the remaining three judges are L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul, and not forgetting Simon Cowell – the man responsible for forming 1D out of Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.
Taking his smash hit show to the US shores, Cowell looks set to take his up-and-coming mega boyband with him, so get ready for 1D mania!
She came fourth in last years X Factor competition, one place behind our beloved One Direction, but she’s the first one to release a single, and the “marmite-like” Swagger Jagger is all over the radio stations like a bad smell. Do you love it or hate it? Is Cher going to be around for a long time or do you think she’ll be flash in the pan?
