Just when we thought the boys had completely saturated the teenage girls market, we find out that they’re also mega popular with our mums!
Either that, or they’re just handing over the baby-naming job to their One Direction-obsessed teenage daughters!
That’s right, if you’ve got a new baby brother called Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam or Zayn, then we’ve got a pretty good idea where it might have come from!
Records show that Liam Payne has helped his name become the fourth most popular baby name!
And, mums all over are loving a bit of Harry Styles curly mop, with the popularity of his name increasing by 57%!
This follows the revealing of the most popular baby names of 2012, also being inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey, with ‘Anastasia‘ being up 10%, and the name ‘Grey‘ boosting 20% since last year.
Wait…’Grey’ is a name?!
Anyway, looks like the One Direction boys haven’t only got us hooked, but a bit of the older woman too!
I’m sure all you Directioners would love to get a whiff of the boys, and now you could be one step closer to that dream as they launch their own perfume, combining their fave smells!
Now, we know that it was rumoured last month that they would be launching their own fragrance, but they failed to tell us that they’ve actually been working on it with Oliviann Beauty for 6 months!
They kept that one quiet!
Considering how it was so hard to squeeze this info out of them, we won’t be hearing much more about the fragrance for a while!
But we do know that it’s due to be released Autumn next year, and they will reveal the name of it early next year!
Also, an insider revealed to Marie Claire:
“It’s going to be a sweet scent, definitely floral too”
The women’s fragrance is going to launch globally, focusing mostly on the markets where they’re touring.
How exciting!
We know we’ll be rushing to our nearest perfume store as soon as it’s released, and stocking up! Will you?

As part of their US invasion and subsequent domination, a very prestigious show in America have invited One Direction to perform on the 7th of December.
The Late Show with David Letterman has been running since early 1990’s and is often considered a destination for those that have “made it” in the industry. So it is very fitting that 1D are heading over to the studio, but watch out because tickets are extremely sought after.
The official account for the show tweeted:
“JUST ANNOUNCED: @onedirection to make their first @Late_Show appearance with Dave on Friday, December 7.”
The 7th is going to be a very busy day for 1D as they will be performing at Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Gardens – which is already sold out – and will also be stopping by Sirius XM Hits 1 Channel, where they will give an interview too.
Make sure you get enough sleep the night before lads!
It has been said that there are very limited and there are thousands of Directioners hoping to get a ticket. There will also be reserve tickets released on the day of the show if you ring up the theatre. But this only really applies to New York Directioners, as that is where the show is filmed.

Australia’s most prestigious music awards show was held just hours ago and we can report that One Direction have once again scored themselves an award for their achievements in the music industry. 1D was honoured by winning the 2012 ARIA Award for Best International Artist…you can all scream in hysterics now!
Whatsmore, the award was voted for by you guys, the dedicated Aussie directioners out there who logged onto the ARIA website and took the time to click the box.
You have done so well dudes, give yourselves a pat on the back!
They were facing extremely tough competition from well known artists including Adele, David Guetta, Michael Buble, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars which goes to show how powerful Directioners are out there!
Harry tweeted:

Unfortunately there isn’t much else to report because no one else has tweeted anything! The official One Direction Facebook page did acknowledge the win, but Zayn, Louis, Liam and Nialler haven’t taken to social media to express delight at another music award.

We’ve all been kept guessing for the last couple of months as to whether Liona really are a couple.
Now the short-haired Paynester has decided to quash all the rumours, as he tweeted the following a couple of days ago:

All the speculation increased after Liam said that “‘I do have a crush on Leona, she’s hot! I have met her. She’s hot.”, and the pair also spent over an hour together backstage during the recent Children In Need night.
But it looks like the pair are not an item, even though Leona also didn’t deny anything, saying recently:
“I’m having fun and enjoying myself.”

Zayn and Max had a very public Twitter feud this past week, resulting in a classic Twitter trend – #ChlamydiaBoy
Now, Max has publicly responded to Zayn’s tirade of banter/abuse, saying:
“He’s probably only just finished sex ed. He’s like, ‘It’s a new word I’ve learnt!’.”
Speaking with the Daily Mirror, Max said:
“I’m not sure what his problem is, to be honest. He seemed to get a little bit serious. I tried to palm it off as friendly but you can only take so many insults.”
Adding:
“Eventually, I just said, ‘If you’ve got a problem, come and see me in New York and we’ll sort it out’.”
Bandmate Jay McGuinness commented about the whole Chlamyida thing, saying:
“I don’t think it’s based on any fact. It’s like kids in the playground. I think he was just taking a stab in the dark.”
Whatever the reason, we have to admit we thought it was all HILARIOUS!
Following in the footsteps of the Glee cast, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber – One Direction will be releasing a 3D movie on the 30th of August next year, just in time for the northern hemisphere summer.
It promises to be a brilliam showcase of behind the scenes footage merged with live in concert clips, all in almost touchable 3D! Can you imagine reaching out to the boys as they leap out of the giant widescreen? Can’t wait!
However it looks like some of the lads might be having a go at filming.
Louis Tomlinson said to MTV news:
“Niall’s got a camera, so he’s going to film some of the film.”
Nialler himself continued:
“We’ve already kind of started and the cameras are already coming out on the road with us a bit more now… Hopefully it’ll turn out as well as we want it too.”
One Direction management have brought in the big guns to put together the documentary, by hiring Morgan Spurlock, the brains behind “Supersize Me” and “Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden”. The director has such a huge success in the past that the 1D boys insist he is the perfect man for the job.
Niall added::
“Morgan works well because… he did a lot of documentary movies. That’s more like what we want our movie to be. It’s going to be a concert movie, but with a documentary side… so we wanted to get our personalities across because the fans know us, but we want them to know us deeper.”
So, hamburgers all round then?

During a recent Interview, Robert Pattinson reported how he definitely isn’t a 1D fan, but loves Westlife!
The Twilight hottie was asked which boyband he would rather be a member of, and quickly answered with
“Westlife, definitely. Westlife are one of my favorite bands.”
- Oh yeah, we’re sure that he would fit in there!
He then atttacked One Direction, saying he certainly isn’t a fan.
Although, we’re not sure if he has a valid argument here,
“I actually don’t know any songs that One Direction have done. I’ve just seen pictures of them.”

We reported earlier in the month that the One Direction lads had been invited to perform for Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose at an exclusive jam session with Johnny himself in attendance.
Although Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis all accepted the invite to go and meet the super star actor and hangout at his studio during their recent visit to the US, it seems that Zaynster chickened out of the meeting, because he was worried he might embarrass himself.
Zayn later admitted to being a massive fan of the critically acclaimed actor and would have likely been star struck if he had gone to the meeting.
“I was too nervous to go.”
“I am a massive, massive fan and I didn’t want to embarrass myself so I let the boys go without me. Hopefully, there will be a next time. The boys said he was totally cool.”
Zayny baby added:
“I kind of regret it for sure and the lads said I was a scaredy cat.”
The session was specifically for Lily-Rose, who no doubt enjoyed every minute of having 4/5ths of 1D in her presence just for herself.
“Some of our fans get so excited or nervous when they meet us and that’s how I was at the thought of being with Johnny.”
“But instead of lapping it up and enjoying it, I ran the other way.”

One Direction were scheduled to arrive on the east coast of Australia before the final HSC year 12 exams next year, which would have allowed countless final year high school students to have enjoyed 1D before stressing out about exams.
Unfortunately for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane Directioners, the original dates have been shifted into a really terrible slot right in the middle of the final exams, which means some people will have to wait for exam timetables to be released to see if they can still see 1D!
How outrageous is that?!
Needless to say countless frustrated fans took to twitter to vent their frustrations, with people saying things like:
“It’s ok one direction my HSC isn’t important and my future means nothing bye”
“Guyss my ticket was for a mon during the holidays & now it’s for a friday during HSC! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO IF I HAVE AN EXAM D: #stressing.”
“Can’t believe I’m actually crying over this. IT”S NOT LIKE WE’VE ALL BEEN COUNTING DOWN OR ANYTHING”
The New South Wales Board of Studies states that the 2013 HSC exams start on the 14th of October which is a Monday and finish on November the 8th which is a Friday. This puts the new tour date of Sydney on the 23rd of October smack bang in the middle of the typically stressful exam time.
The tour visits Brisbane on the 19th and then goes to Melbourne on the 28th and 29th.
Sony Music told the Sydney Morning Herald that:
“efforts were made to avoid a conflict with the exams but it was unfortunately unavoidable”.
Directioners can apply for a refund of all or some of the tickets that they have purchased, as long as the request is lodged by the 31st of December.

American Moms will do anything for their children.
Even offer the world’s most famous boy-band a cool $1 million to spend one day with their daughter.
Yup, that’s the crazy amount of cash a die-hard mum in Ford Lauderdale, Florida offered to pony up to One Direction, if the lads would spend time with her little girl.
That’s according to former 1D bodyguard Andy Davies — known affectionately by the famous fivesome as “Baldy.”
“Baldy” told The Sunday Mirror:
“We were in a lift in Ford Lauderdale, Florida. And this lady offered the boys $1 million to meet her kid.”
“This lady didn’t understand why we couldn’t take her offer,” continued Baldy.
Baldy admitted it wasn’t the first time desperate mums on both sides of the Atlantic have offered huge booties of bucks for the boys to meet, sing, or party with their obsessed daughters.
“Sometimes the parents can be worse than the actual fans,” he said. “Some of these very wealthy people will do anything for their daughters.”
“Three years ago, you wouldn’t have paid a fiver to meet the band!” he chuckled. “It’s truly astonishing!”
A line of One Direction dolls already exist, but they feature questionable likenesses to the actual boys, with some average looking outfits.
Not to say these aren’t a fantastic collectors item, in fact we think they should be on all of your Christmas lists, but a new line of more “authentic” looking 1D dolls are on their way which promise to have even better looking features!
The lads are involved in the fashion of the dolls, so you would be owning something hand designed and influenced by One Direction themselves – *dies*.
Speaking to MTV news recently, Zayn was especially enamoured with the dolls and specifically pointed out that Nialler’s looks great, saying:
“I think Niall’s is really good.”
“Actually, Niall’s doll actually looks a lot like him; Louis’ is good as well.”
Louis chimed in:
“I think they all look good.”
Liam’s extremely lucky sister has already got her hands on some of the dolls, as he explains:
“My sister’s actually got them up in the house,” he said:
“So we’re just there in the corner, ‘Hello!’ “
While the other dolls were a huge hit with fans, particularly when they were sold as a quintet at pop up 1D stores around the world, for the new set of collectibles the 1D lads wanted them to be as lifelike as possible and to stay away from cartoonish examples.
They continued in their interview by saying:
“I think we all wanted them to be as authentic as possible, and obviously, if we got involved in the outfits and stuff, then it’s a lot of stuff that we’d probably wear,” Zayn said.”
“And it’s cool for the fans, because they get a doll with outfits that we’ve picked.”
As father to be and JLS star Marvin Hume moves out of his North London home, it seems that some someone very close to him will be moving in…
Nialler of course!
The Irishman who is loved around the world has purchased the extravagant home from the JLS star for a cool £2.2 million, loose change for someone reportedly making £1 million a week!
But Nialler won’t be getting a completely empty home, absolutely not. The JLS lads who are understandably quite close with their label-mates left a few comical surprises for when Niall moves in, some of which might be a bit much to stomach.
“Yes, I got him a moving-in present,” he giggles. “It was a cushion with a picture of himself on.”
“Our management had One Direction cushions. So I got a Niall face and left it in the house for him to see.”
They also left:
“Whiffy prawns hidden in the curtain rails were joked about,” a source said. “And, of course, Niall will have to quickly change the locks so he doesn’t end up with a member of JLS letting themselves in and roaming around in the early hours.”
Although the price does seem exorbitant, Marvin assures that he gave Niall “mates rates”. Wow, these pop stars with all their money, how the other half live! It has been joked that Niall would like to be the 5th member of JLS and Marvin and him are very close mates.
“If we’re not playing golf together or going on nights out or whatever when we get chance, then we’re usually in contact with them on BBM,” Marvin said.
“Me and Niall are always talking. He’s always messaging me about different bits and pieces.”

One Direction arrived back in the USA at JFK airport earlier today, to prepare for their upcoming gigs in New York and Uncasville.
The concert in New York will be their biggest yet and will cap off an amazing year for the lads.
We particuarly like Niall’s t-shirt below – though we reckon he could have tried to grow a moustache in support of Movember as well.
In fact, wouldn’t it be great to see all the lads sporting a ‘tache?

They’ve hit the big-time with a number 1 album in 33 countries to complement their debut effort that charted at the top spot in 17 countries.
So to celebrate such an amazing achievement from such a young band, the boys have scored themselves a cover shoot for the front of Teen Vogue magazine for the December and January editions this year and the next.

We have found some snippets of the interview that inside the magazine, with Zayn and Harry discussing their experiences with fans, staying grounded while being so famous and their excitement at future performances.
Harry said:
“One time, a girl dropped her phone in my pocket, and I found it and was like, ‘There you go.’ And she said, ‘If you’d had my phone, you’d have had to meet up with me to give it back.’”
On staying grounded:
“It’s nice to have people go to these lengths for you, but sometimes it’s hard to understand, because we’re just guys. We’re guys who would be at your school, who got this amazing opportunity.”
Zayn is particularly keen on playing the LA Staples Center:
“One of the first concerts I saw in America was there—Britney Spears—and I remember thinking, ‘This place is massive.’ Now we’re going to be playing there? I can’t wait.”

Just as Harry supposedly meets Taylor Swift’s parents and vice versa, the biggest romance rumours to arise today are between Liam Payne and Leona Lewis, both absolute superstars and X Factor alums!
Liona, as we think they should be called, have been skirting around questions in interviews for weeks, assuring everyone that they are just good friends and not a couple. Leona has been in particular quite vocal about the bond they both share and the common interests they both have, saying:
“You’d be surprised how much we have in common. He’s great. We see each other when we can. It’s very flattering to get compliments like that. It’s cute… I’m not saying (if we’re together) . I’m having fun and enjoying myself.”
Leona carried on to say:
“If you have a bond with someone it doesn’t come into it. I’d date someone younger or older, ages doesn’t matter to me. Or looks, really – it’s all about maturity.”
Leona only recently split from her dancer boyfriend, Dennis Jauch – which is such a coincidence as Liam dumped his dancer girlfriend Danielle at the same -who Directioners were quite fond of back in the day.
Today reports have emerged that the pair are going on holiday together in the new year, and daddy direction is keen to bulk himself up and look as ripped as possible for the presumably romantic getaway. He is a regular at his local Virgin Active gym, but has upped his routine to tone his body and impress his potential girlfy, Leona.
“He’s been down a lot more lately and has started asking some of the lads for tips and pointers.He said he’ll be taking his new girlfriend away when he gets the chance and wants to be fit.”
The source also said:
“He’s a naturally slim lad but if he keeps following the tips he’s been given, he’ll have that six pack in no time.”

Harry has apparently invited Taylor to meet his parents when the lads perform in New York for their sold-out Madison Square Gardens gig.

We brought you the news last week that Miss Swift was considering a move to London to get closer to Harry, and the same newspaper said:

Seems a story published Saturday revealed Harry’d been seen “several times” with beautiful British model Cara Delevingne.
The blonde bombshell recently strutted the swanky catwalk at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show….and guess who sent Cara a big bouquet of flowers, right before she modeled some very sexxxy lingerie?
Harry Styles! That’s who!
British tabloids then reported that “it’s model Cara Delevingne that has Harry’s heart, not Taylor.”

Louis definitely knows a thing or two when it comes to the X Factor and the hard work that goes into competing, so it’s no surprise that Louis has publicly given his opinion on the most controversial contestant of the year – Christopher Maloney!
Having come out the other end of the show on top, Louis’ view should be respected – and we love that he has gone after Mafoney!
Louis tweeted that Chris is showing his “nasty side” after he claimed that he works harder than any other contender on the ITV1 smash.
Louis also proclaimed that he “has to go” when the results show airs tonight. This isn’t the first time that Christopher has gained criticism from his musical peers – Tulisa continually slated his cheesy performances and Little Mix members Jesy and Jade have also condemned his presence in the show.
Louis did lay on the praise for his favorite this year, singer-songwriter James Arthur, by tweeting to his nearly 7 million followers that James “has to be” this years winner and also tweeted the voting number.
James famously auditioned with an acoustic and unique version of Tulisa’s song “Young” and had emerged as a worthy winner for this years competition. Louis should know more than anyone how to manipulate the X Factor to an advantage, so make sure you vote for your favourite this weekend!
