The world’s first Social Star awards too place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands on Wednesday night, and as expected, our favourite five boys picked up an award for ‘Most Popular Music Group’.

However, that’s not it.

They also won ‘Most Popular UK Musician’, ‘Most Popular In The UK’, and ‘Most Popular in West Europe’.

Other winners on the night included Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, FC Barcelona and the Twilight movies.

The new awards celebrated the world’s biggest acts and the most active on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and more, and were presented by Jessica Alba and Jeremy Piven.

1D couldn’t be present to pick up their awards due to touring commitments, but they did leave a video message, saying:

“We wanna say a massive thank you for the Best Social Star Group of the year award. Thank you for our Starcount award, and we will see you soon!”

When you’re in one of the biggest boy bands in the world, in the middle of a world tour and have a bit of free time, just what do you do with yourself?

That’s right, go and train with one of the biggest football clubs in the world, Real Madrid.

And we’re incredibly jealous.

Not only were our boys in shorts, they got to meet the incredibly gorgeous and of course very talented Cristiano Ronaldo.

Of course Niall, the biggest football fanboy of the group was first to tweet, saying: “Up there with some of the best days of my life! Training with Real Madrid !dreams are made of that stuff”

He added: “Massive thank you on behalf of me and the lads to Real Madrid,Jose mourinho ,all the players! Unbelievable experience”

“All the players were really nice to us! And the gaffer I like to call him mr . Mourinho! still can’t believe it! Vamos Madrid”

While Louis added: “Can’t believe what has just happened! Such an amazing day for us ! All these opportunities are only possible because of you guys.We love you”

Madrid defender Sergio Ramos (above) was clearly excited about meeting the boys: “Today I met @onedirection guys. A great picture with them. Greetings!!”

Niall of course not one to ignore some of his hero’s replied: “really great to meet you sir”

Just a note on that picture though, look at how many tattoo’s Louis has on his arm now! Maybe he’s going for a full sleeve!

While hottie Cristiano Ronaldo tweeted this pic of himself in some incredibly short shorts! Not that we’re complaining!: “Nice to meet @onedirection today.” He tweeted.

Niall replied to him as well: “amazing to meet you too bro! Thanks for having us!”

It does appear that Zayn and Harry missed the trip to train with the Real Madrid team, but at the moment we don’t know why. Maybe they just fancied a lie in.

Meanwhile, friend of One Direction Olly Murs has told how he’s cracked America due to the help he’s received from the boys.

Olly supported One Direction on their last US tour, and as well as having his last album enter the US iTunes chart at number five, he’s just appeared on TV show Good Morning America.

Speaking on the phone with the Daily Mirror, he said:

“I don’t ever expect to reach the heights of One Direction over here, but I believe I can be a success. And so far it’s going well. It’s been brilliant.”

Olly said he wouldn’t have made it as big as he has without the internet, and more importantly sites like Facebook and YouTube.

He added:

“Technology has changed with social media, Twitter and YouTube. Without that I don’t think I’d ever be able to have impact.”

For UK Directioners, there’s only two days to go until tickets for next years massive ‘Where We Are Tour’ go on sale.

The boys are performing 5 dates in the UK and Ireland at the following venues:

• Croke Park, Dublin – May 24th 2014
• Stadium of Light, Sunderland – May 28th 2014
• Etihad Stadium, Manchester – May 3st 2014
• Murrayfield, Edinburgh – June 3rd 2014
• Wembley Stadium, London – June 7th

The #1BigAnnouncement was made last week, and so far it’s just been the UK, Ireland and Latin America, though it’s been confirmed that more dates on the way.

So, if you’re UK based and thinking about getting tickets on Saturday morning please read the following information.

Tickets go on sale at 10am.

1) Is it better to keep refreshing or waiting?

It is definitely better to keep waiting. We have sophisticated systems in place to make sure that we can process fans’ purchases as quickly as possible.

As part of this process, we sometimes have to put in place a virtual queue. It’s much better to hold your place in the queue, rather than refresh and lose it. Years of experience have shown this system is the safest and fairest way of giving fans access to tickets.

2) Is it better to have multiple windows?

Stick with one window! Using too many windows and refreshing repeatedly can lead to a fan being temporarily blocked from the site as our systems will identify this as an illegal automated attempt to secure tickets. We are continually monitoring it to ensure real fans can get their hands on tickets.

3) How early do you have to get ready for the sale?

One Direction tickets will be going on sale at 10am this Saturday.

It’s worth signing up to a My Ticketmaster account in advance of the sale. Ensure that you have your payment details ready and be on the site at the designated time. Remember, as an added security measure only post tickets to the billing address of the card you pay with.

4) Why do some people get tickets and others not? How does the system work?

We work hard to make the ticket- buying process as easy and as fair as possible. Demand for large-scale events will usually exceed the supply – there simply aren’t enough tickets for the amount of people who want them. Extra tickets do get released nearer the event and sometimes additional dates are added to a tour when demand is high, so while you may be frustrated to miss out at first do keep trying.

Tickets are priced from £42.50 plus a booking fee.

Do we at OneDirection.net have any more tips to give you? Well, yes:

• Make sure you have a good, solid internet connection
• Create a Ticketmaster account BEFORE you try to buy 1D tickets
• Have your payment details right next to you
• Be patient, and keep, keep trying – it might take a while to secure your place in the queue
• As Ticketmaster say above, there just aren’t enough tickets to go around, so if you are unlucky enought to miss, try the following sites – Viagogo and Seatwave.

Last week we had the amazing news that One Direction are doing a worldwide stadium tour next year.

This week we got to see the front cover of their book for the very first time.

The book is called ‘Where We Are, Our Band, Our Story’. This first bit os of course the name of next years tour so maybe the album will be called the same to tie it all together?

It is available now for pre-order and is released on 29th August, which is of course very close to the ‘This Is Us’ release date.

One Direction overload that weekend! We’re not complaining though.

On the preorder site it says: “This is the only official book from 1D, charting their journey over the last year and a half – from the places they’ve visited and fans they’ve met, to their thoughts and feelings, hopes and dreams, highs and lows. It has been a phenomenal year – and this is a phenomenal story.

This Christmas, there will be no other book that true One Direction fans will want!”

If you can’t wait until Christmas, maybe ask your parents for an early Christmas present instead!

It also says it will be 288 pages! Now thats a lot of One Direction information and pictures, but we reckon we could easily read that in an afternoon!

Harry was taking a break from 1D’s gruelling tour schedule, enjoying a bit of sun at his hotel “W Barcelona”, showing off his tattoos and FIT body.

Holding Baby Lux in one hand, Harry waltzed around the hotel grounds, giving us all a treat. Yum yum yum, doesn’t he look like the perfect Daddy?

Hazza brushes back his hair whilst chatting to a friend:

He again brushes his hands through his hair, and gives his sunglasses a nudge. We want to know what the red thing in his drink is though. Strawberry?

“Hi everybody!” Harry waves to the gathering group of fans and paparazzi, giving us a great shot of his armpit and tats.

Hazza gives us his best Hollywood movie star walk, strutting his stuff behind a glass safety screen.

Harry checks out something on a friends phone, whilst carefully balancing Baby Lux in his other arm. Don’t drop her now!

Time for something to eat. Harry does his best “I’ll stuff as much food into my mouth as possible” act. One bite at a time now Mr Styles.

Maybe Harry is getting a tad broody? Holding Baby Lux with care and attention, maybe there’s something he isn’t telling us.

This is quite an ironic story, especially considering that he has a mop for hair anyways

Reports to the Daily Star suggest that his fellow band mates have started calling the heartthrob, “Mrs. Mop”.

There is nothing wrong with being clean, but apparently is taking it a bit far.

In fact, he has told Louis, Liam, Zayn and Niall to wear slippers when they are on the tour bus, to avoid dirtying the floor.

In fact a crew member has said:

“Harry loves everything to be neat and tidy. He’s fixated with keeping the tour bus clean.� He watches to make sure no-one drops food anywhere and asked people to leave their shoes at the door and wear slippers.”

The crew-dude continued:

“He went to a supermarket and bought a ton of cleaning products as he didn’t think the bus was clean enough.� Everyone has their own quirky habits, but we all call him Mrs Mop.”

Not the best nickname in the world, but certainly not the worst. Better than being dirty we guess!

Our Hazza was recently called a “top shagger” by The Wanted’s Max George, in a radio interview which kicked off the whole TW vs 1D war again.

Maybe the the fact he’s been sniffing around Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberley prompted Max to make his comments

Harry and the boys will be back in the USA from next month, and we’re expecting a paparazzi fuelled media frenzy – so expect more pics of Harry with girls (and more girls).

Yesterday the feud between The Wanted and One Direction continued.

But it seems that not all boybands think the same as The Wanted. UK group Blue who are really a man band now have said they like the 1D boys.

Duncan James told The Sun: “I met Harry Styles the other day. I really liked him, he’s got his head screwed on. They’ve probably got more advice for us on how to do it.”

But as well as showing their admiration for our boys, the pop veterans also offered the boys some advice on how to deal with their popularity.

“With the crazy life they’re going through now it’s really important to keep your feet on the ground. Remember you are human — not gods,” said Duncan.

Simon added: “My advice to them is just to enjoy it. I made a lot of mistakes. But they’re very well-protected.”

The Blue boys also explained how they dealt with their more mental fans back in the day.

Duncan said: “I’ve had a few crazies as we call them — it’s scary actually.”

“I had this German nutter who went round saying she had a kid with me and then said I was sitting outside her house in a black Mercedes. They’re just people who want attention. They want their five minutes of fame. The lawyer basically told her to shut the f*** up.”

We wonder how long before someone pops up claiming to be pregnant with one of 1D’s babies!

Being that One Direction are so successful, and Little Mix are just starting out, the lads thought they would share some words of wisdom with tem.

Little Mix are currently trying to break into the US market, with their debut album ‘DNA’ being released in America at the end of the month.

And as seen as One Direction made it look SO easy getting all of that fame, who better to get advice from?

In the latest edition of ‘Seventeen’ magazine, Little Mix hottie Leigh Anne revealed exactly what the boys told them.

They said: “Be yourself and you can’t go wrong”.

The girls listened took their advice on board, and that’s exactly what they did!

Leigh Anne also added “Just be true to who you are,”

There’s always loads of past celebs who are trying to give One Direction some advice, so it’s nice to see them dishing it out for a change.

They might not have been in the industry for a very long time, but they’ve made their mark on it like nobody has done before! You go boys!
