Although Simon Cowell would want you to think that he was the one who thought of the idea to put Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis together, he couldn’t be more incorrect!
The mastermind behind such a schamazing success that is 1D, was infact a former Pussycat doll and superstar X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger!
She recently talked to Fabulous magazine to talk about her involvement at the beginning of the boys career:
“I just thought: “Wow, these boys!” None of them were strong enough to make it through, but they’d make a killer group. All the girls are going to want to see these guys in a band together.”
None of them???
The foxy Pussycat Doll added:
“And look at what they’ve done. I’m just really sad that I didn’t have a piece of it. Simon Cowell forgets that [I helped put them together]- or he’s trying to forget that’,
She went on.
“Ahh that Cowell, he’s a wiley one. Sly old dog.”
‘I still haven’t received flowers from them yet!’
We think that now they have a fan base, they could easily give it a crack on their own – going solo. But why would they want to?
One Direction have the most incredible chemistry and stage presence so it would be devastating to see them split up prematurely!
But seriously though, thank god for the Scherzinger…otherwise we might never have seen 1D blow up into the phenomenon they are today.
Brings tears to our eyes really!
