Fresh after their MTV VMA success, One Direction have now officially made it into the Guinness Book of Records, with their barn-storming debut album ‘Up All Night’.
Their new Guinness world record is for the album going straight to number one in the US Billboard charts, breaking the previous record held by the Spice Girls in 1997.
The band said:
“Being the first British band to debut at number one in America with a debut album is something that we would have never even have dreamt of. We are incredibly proud to have this achievement included in the Guinness World Records book.”
We’ve got a feeling that they might be setting more records in the near future.
