1D are amongst artists such as Adele and Mumford and Sons, who are leading the takeover of the US music industry.

Reports show that UK artists had a 13.7% share of US album sales in 2012, up 2% from 2011.
4/5 of the best selling albums in America in 2012 came from UK acts Mumford and Sons, two Adele albums and One Direction.
This is the biggest ever share that UK based artists have had in US album sales, and our 1D boys are a massive contributor in this.
They’re now calling this the ‘British Invasion’
We reckon that’s pretty accurate.
Americans love British music and with the help of social media, artists are able to build up a bigger fan base around the world.
Take One Direction for example, there are Directioners all around the world!
British Phonographic Industry chief executive Geoff Taylor said: “It’s an exciting time to be part of the British music industry – as a country we can be very proud of our artists and of the British music companies who invest in them.”
We know that we’re proud of our 1D boys anyway
Harry Styles said: “We’re really proud to be part of this of whole thing which is seen as the British invasion. It just proves what’s going on with British music at the moment – us, Adele, Ed Sheeran. It seems to be working over there. Good timing, I guess.”
Yes Harry, good timing, you could call it that.
