They found fame on the 2010 series of X Factor UK where they were put together by Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell, and also given a helping hand by Katy Perry after she put through Niall Horan with the deciding vote.
Now, the latest news to emerge from the X Factor scene is that ex Spice Girls judge Mel B wants the band to appear as mentors during the judges house stage of the competition.
British singer-songwriter Mika has recently declared that he would love to write with the boys, so it seems they are in high-demand.
As well as apearing as mentors on the TV show, they will also be performing on the live stages too – oh yeh!
You Aussie Directioners are certainly a lucky bunch!
In related news, the latest ‘One Direction World’ store opened in Perth this week, with hundreds if not thousands of screaming fans queuing to get their mitts on some tasty 1D merchandise.
Similar to previous openings elsewhere in Australia, the store will only be open for 10 days, so if you live in the area, make sure you head on down before Sunday 22nd July.
