Today Tonight have released an exclusive report detailing a shocking ticket scam that has affected a minority of loyal scams.
The presenter reports: “Just who’s getting the tickets? True fans, or scalpers looking to make a quick buck?”
Only recently on Ebay there were sales of One Direction tickets on offer for up to $12,000 (AUD), before they were taken down by the auction site.
With concert tickets selling out in minutes whenever they go on sale, scam merchants and profiteers are quick to try and cash in, to the expense of fans around the world.
The Australian newsreel talks about the band’s rise to fame, plotting their growth from their early X-Factor days, and talking about how Simon Cowell spotted something in them right from the beginning.
