It’s now the turn of Australia to fully experience the full force of the One Direction Infection, and as the band touched down at Sydney airport to be greeted by hundreds of screaming fans.
The band are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and are preparing for their tour starting with two dates at Sydney Horden Pavillion followed by visits to Melbourned and Brisbane (as well as an appearance at the Logie awards).
Coverage of the group is now stretching out onto mainstream TV, as you’ll see in the following video from 9 News.
Those wild Aussies have treated us to some fantastic flash mobs in the past which are not to be missed. Watch the Sydney flash mob from back in January:
After the four Oz dates, the superstars will be jetting off to New Zealand for two dates in Auckland followed by a final date in Wellington.
Meanwhile, all the constant touring and being away from home seems to be taking it’s toll on Liam a little, as he has recently spoken with the Daily Mirror: “It’s all happening so fast, it’s hard to take it all in. Sometimes it’s only when I’m on my own, that I think about everything and sometimes I think I would quite like to just go home.”
“There’s a part of me that occasionally wants to go back to Wolverhampton and just chill out, play the field, be normal again. It’s a Catch 22 situation, I guess.”
Liam is one of two members with a girlfriend, and he’s admitted that he misses his other half Danielle Peazer: “I am looking forward to having some time off. My girlfriend keeps telling me that we need to get away, go abroad somewhere, just to get away from everything.”
It’s a tough job being 1/5th of the HUGEST BOYBAND, LIKE, EVER
