Haylor have apparently been told to ‘clear the air’ from none other than Simon Cowell himself.
Concerned that the public split and the fall-out from their big argument might be hurting One Direction’s popularity in the USA, Simon had a word with Harry.
British newspaper The Mirror said:
“Cowell gave Harry a friendly warning that any animosity between him and Taylor could jeopardise One Direction’s popularity in the US.”
Simon carried on:
“They’re two of the world’s biggest music stars, and Simon knew that, although things didn’t work out between them, they were bound to meet at various events and awards ceremonies.”
During One Direction’s recent trip to Ghana on Comic Relief duty, Harry spoke with Taylor on the phone, and The Mirror’s source said:
“Taylor was keen to meet face to face and talk things through but Harry felt there was nothing left to be said.”
The mystery source continued:
“Plus the boys’ schedule meant it wouldn’t have been possible as they were due to fly to Japan.”
Showing that Harry still cares for Taylor, it’s said that:
“Styles is thought to have told Swift that he holds no grudge and “hoped things wouldn’t be awkward”.
Both One Direction and Taylor Swift are due to perform at the Brit Awards next month.
Directioners may remember that 1D won their very first trophy at the Brit Awards last year – with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ winning ‘Best British Single’.
This year they’re up for ‘Best British Group’ and you can start voting for them on February 9th.
Come on 1D!
