As we have previously reported, One Direction will be releasing a cover of 1978 hit “One Way or Another” in aid of Comic Relief, and up until now we haven’t had a studio version of tune to listen to…that is until today!
We’ve listened to some footage of the tune when they were filming in Japan, but that was mostly Zayn miming to the bridge of the song. It wasn’t the best of quality and we were really keen to hear a more clear version of the tune!
Luckily for you Directioners, we’ve got 30 seconds worth of new One Direction material.

The new track has been turned into a modern hit, with each boy lending great vocals that have re-invented the old track.
Daybreak host Richard thought it was an odd choice, stating:
“Whose dad came up with that idea? It was 1978, lads.”
The release of the single will be the boy’s first comic relief tune, following in the footsteps of rivals The Wanted, McFly and Westlife.
They are joining a long list of other artists who have nabbed a number 1 with a comic relief single, but in 2011 Susan Boyle’s effort only got a number 11.
But surely with the One Direction fans behind them and with the added support of those who want to do good by the charity, we could see their 3rd UK number 1 hit!
The track can be pre-ordered on iTunes now or you can buy the physical single at Sainsbury’s.
Whaddya reckon?
