It’s nearly 2012 (in fact there’s just over 12 hours to go), and One Direction are now an established boyband, selling millions of records and making girls swoon at the merest glimpse of the boys.
With H,L,L,Z & N set to resume their UK tour in a few days time here’s a round-up of what they’ve been up to over the last couple of weeks.
Harry & Caroline Confirm Their Friendship
It’s no secret that Hazza & Cazza have been dating on-and-off for the last couple of months, and now Mr Styles has said he definitely has an eye for the older ladies – but still finds some cougars frightening.
Speaking with Fabulous magazine, he said: “I was in the park the other day and a woman ran up to me and asked for my autograph”. “She handed me a pen and I asked her if she had a piece of paper”. “She just looked at me and got out her boobs!”
Harry said he refused her request and ran off!
Talking about the attention he receives on a daily basis, he said: “What 17-year-old boy wouldn’t like it? It’s still really wierd but a lot of fun.”
Zayn Malik Vows to Give Up Smoking
Tut, tut Zayn, what are you playing at! Bad breath, smelly clothes, stained teeth, not to mention the negative health aspects. Give em up now!
Thankfully, Zayn has promised to give up the ciggies as part of his New Year’s resolutions. Talking to The Sun, he said: “My New Year’s resolution is definitely to quit smoking. I need to do it.”
The rest of the band are also trying to improve their health in 2012, with Niall saying: “I definitely need to use the gym more next year”.
Liam is a firm gym-goer and has been pressuring Niall to work out more, adding: “He never turns up, unless he’s hiding under the weight bench lifting 40k and I didn’t spot him”. Cheeky!
TOWIE’s Lauren Pope Fancies Liam
Hot on the heels of Caroline Flack, Lauren Pope has revealed that she fancies Liam Payne, and despite being more than a decade older than him, she said there’s a cougar inside her waiting to get her hands on the teenage heartthrob.
Speaking with the Daily Star, she said: “I would love to go out on a date with him!” “There could be a One Direction cameo in TOWIE.”
(Incidentally, Harry has recently spoke out saying he’s now single, though we don’t whether he’s just trying to deflect attention).
